A readiness score that means something
Every morning WorkRate reads your resting heart rate, HRV and the last weeks of training load and tells you how hard to go today — green light, hold steady, or back off.
WorkRate reads your Garmin and Apple Health data every morning, scores your readiness, and hands you today’s session — analysed and planned by a coach that has read every run you’ve done, with targets on your phone and your watch.
Free to record and sync. Pro is $9.99/month or $59.99/year, cancel any time.
Most apps store your workouts. WorkRate reads them, scores you, and tells you what to do next.
Every morning WorkRate reads your resting heart rate, HRV and the last weeks of training load and tells you how hard to go today — green light, hold steady, or back off.
After each session the coach explains what the numbers say — pace control, heart-rate drift, where you faded — and writes your next workout with exact pace and HR targets.
GPS runs with pause and resume, route maps and server-computed splits. Or keep recording on Garmin or Apple Watch — WorkRate imports it all through Apple Health.
Seven plans from First 5K to a 50K ultra. Skip a day or move a long run and the calendar reshuffles instead of guilt-tripping you.
Warm up, work, recover, cool down — each step announced with voice and haptics, with live "too fast / on target" cues while your phone stays locked.
A WorkRate data field for Garmin's native Run activity shows today's pace and HR window, time in zone and drift on the watch face. No second app to start.
Record a run in WorkRate or keep using your Garmin or Apple Watch. Workouts, heart rate, HRV and resting HR flow in through Apple Health.
Each morning your WorkRate Score combines recovery, training load and consistency into one number — and shows the three signals behind it.
The coach turns the score, your program and your history into today’s session, with targets delivered to your phone and your watch.
After every run the coach writes up what happened and what to do next. The metrics come from your recorded data on our servers — the AI explains them and plans around them; it never invents them.
Strong tempo. You held 5:09 /km across the middle 5 km with only 3% heart-rate drift, so the aerobic work from the last three weeks is landing. You faded to 5:24 in the final kilometre with HR at 171 — that’s the end of your current threshold, not a bad day. Tomorrow’s score will likely dip into the 50s: take the easy day easy.
Recording, syncing and history never go behind a paywall. Pro unlocks the coach, the story behind your score, and the full program library.
No. Your iPhone records GPS runs on its own. A watch adds heart rate, HRV and resting heart rate, which is what makes the WorkRate Score and the coach’s heart-rate targets sharp. Any watch that writes to Apple Health works.
A 0–100 readiness number computed each morning from three things: recovery (today’s HRV and resting heart rate against your own baseline), training load (the last weeks of work versus what you are used to), and consistency. It needs about five days of data to build your baseline before it is meaningful.
It cannot. Pace, heart rate, drift, splits and load are computed from your recorded data on our servers; the coach only sees those structured metrics — never raw GPS — and its job is to explain them and turn them into a plan. If the AI is unavailable, a rule-based coach answers instead.
